the awareness thing, the false truth life being consciousness experience thing, the big guy comes out and announces that enlightenment is a side effect, its alignment with the divine purpose thats central to the whole gig. what happens after that is all gravy.so if your cleaning houses and that the alignment, your done, no need for all the meditation and detachment etc, just service to the divine and everything else will follow. the heads wag with derailment, but whats the divine will, how do you know, he reads the famous line from the gita where krishna tells arjuna to take up his sword and slay his enemies because that is his nature and if he doesnt do it willingly he will still have to do it .there is no not doing the divine will thing.a chorus of protests ensue, but i dont know what my nature is, i mean i came for the awareness the enlightenment, and now this and i dont understand, its so confusing. i mean i just do what you tell me or something approximating that. the part of you you dont resist, the action that carries you beyond self, beyond thinking, that is your nature, the simple being in you that is expressed without adornment and the doing of it is the supreme award. for the bahkti system it is the act of selfless service and devotion in every interaction,seeing that divine life in every face and rock and tree. for the awareness being, it is non doership in the moment, detachment, without expectation, for what is purposeful is not truth, and what is true has no purpose.
